Deep Insights has signed a partnership with Malaysian third-party logistics provider LTS Distribution (M) Sdn Bhd. Together they will build a transport management system (TMS) covering transport orders, vehicle dispatch, in-transit tracking and freight settlement.
LTS Distribution is the 3PL arm of Lee Ting San Group, offering logistics consulting, warehousing, transport and distribution, and value-added services. Its customers include food and beverage brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Spritzer.
At LTS Distribution, a single trip means assigning a vehicle and driver, combining deliveries and pickups along the route, and handling customer charges, carrier payments and related labor costs. The project focuses on these closely linked daily tasks.
LTS Distribution's transport operations
- Mixed capacity — own fleet and external carriers. The project involves more than 100 vehicles, with jobs run by the in-house fleet or external carriers. Each order must be matched to the right capacity, vehicle and driver.
- Combined routes — delivery and pickup on the same route. Route planning must consider both delivery and pickup tasks, and both go into vehicle and driver work plans.
- Complex settlement — one trip, many costs. Customer freight charges, own-fleet or carrier transport costs and related labor costs all need to be recorded and calculated against the same trip.
From order to settlement
Deep Insights TMS will support creating transport orders via Excel import and form entry, with RPA processing order data to reduce repeated data entry.
For execution, the system supports route planning with same-route delivery and pickup, automatic vehicle and driver assignment, and wave planning to help dispatchers organize daily work.
A driver mobile app will record and track last-mile delivery progress, feeding execution data back to managers in time.
Cost management is a key part of the project. The system supports rate management, automatic customer freight billing, and settlement for both own-fleet and external carrier costs, linking transport jobs to their costs.
The project also includes an operations analytics dashboard with KPI and SLA monitoring, giving LTS Distribution data to assess service performance and daily operations.
This partnership deepens Deep Insights' understanding of how logistics is organized in different markets. Deep Insights will work closely with Malaysian logistics operations, building carrier roles, same-route delivery and pickup, and multi-party billing rules into the system so dispatchers, drivers and finance teams work seamlessly together.
